How do you know Amanda?

Hey. I’m Alli. My dad works in Draco, a little away from Orion, and he makes good money. (We could have lived there, but my mom likes the “small town feel” of Orion. -groan-) So, as a special treat, he took us to Rome this past summer. I was sitting in this outdoor cafe, and Amanda comes and sits next to me. We start talking, but I noticed it was kind of weird, because she didn’t tell me her name until I told her I lived in Orion. Then she introduced herself as Miranda. We ended up meeting almost everyday for the rest of the trip. She told me that although she was born in America, she had lived most of her life alternating in either Britain or Australia. When I ended up seeing her in Orion, she said that she didn’t want all of these kids to know her real name—Miranda, apparently—so she told them her middle name. Amanda. She asked me to keep quiet, because she didn’t know if she could trust all of these kids yet. I asked her, “Why wouldn’t you trust them? They’re just kids.” I can still remember her exact words. “No one is safe from them. No one.” I asked who “they” were, and she just said that they were extremely dangerous, and that I should never underestimate anybody. Ever. But she exaggerated underestimate, as if trying to give me a clue or something. Sometimes I would surprise her, trying to catch her off-guard. I did. I remember it was raining. I asked her if she wanted to go swimming and then gave her a surprise attack. She said “They’re the people who are trying to get me back.” After that, she barely let anything slip. The only other thing I heard her say on the subject was when I asked her where they were based. “Sacrent Valley.” was all she said. Isn’t that just a few miles from Orion? And why was she in Rome?
I know it could all be a big lie—who knows with Miranda/Amanda?—but I don’t think so. She sounded really mad at herself when she let herself talk about it. I DEFINITELY think we should check this out. Anyone up for a field trip?

I know Amanda as Ivory. Shes actually attending my school presantly. Shes appointed me as her “Guide” and has taken me shopping at this cool new thrift shop called Freak show. We first met in a CD Shop and then got into a discussion on old punk rock bands.After a while, we ended up in hot topic and loved the same articles of clothing! I was suprised how we were similar yet unique in our own ways. When she started attending my school, I was ecstatic! For once, I wouldnt be the only harcore punk. But now, Shes not coming to school as often. I’ve asked her about it, but gained no reply. I dont know where she is now, but i hope she’ll be safe. She is my peer role model and I will always miss her untill (or if) she returns again. I hope to see her soon. But knowing Ivory, she’ll be off on some random adventure exploring the world and its wonders!

Amanda and I grew up together as best friends. It wasnt until middle school that she decided to forget me. She started hanging out with me (the skaters) less, and Valerie (the gangsters) more. Could gang activity have possibly lead to her mysterious dissapearrance?
