soz. i did type Orion in google by da way, just typed it wrong here. anyways, i have narrowed it down to 2 locations (1 in USA and da other in Mexico) both with all the stuff mentioned in da book. they are both near each other. i e-mailed cornelia’s helpers and asked them to ask hal and stuff, like, on saturday but haven’t got a reply. if i get a reply i’ll tell u guys, otherwise i’ll try and work it out on da weekend.
best wishes

Buuuuuuutttt, I think it’s “in the U.S.”—hint, hint. On that site above, I found: “Amanda’s school is located in the (fictional) town of Orion, a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland in the United States.” (!!!!)

shame. my idea had failed. i checked like every place i could find with Orion but not 1 had a near enough position placing simalarities as described in da book. da suggestion LeeLo gave is not exactly a town. there is just lods of places in Baltimore that have the name Orion in. there is not a town called Orion, near Baltimore, Maryland in the United States.
da Mexico 1 actually seemed most like da 1 in da book cause of da layout of da roads and how there r many towns nearby but the places hal and nia described Amanda lived weren’t there. most of the other USA locations with the word Orion in the address were mainly in the counrtyside or no towns nearby or just some stranded roads in da middle of no where!
But if any of u ever come across anyfink write on my profile.
thx 4 ur support.
best wishes

Perhaps if we all put together what we know about the town of Orion, with some help from Nia, Hal and Callie we could draw up a map of what the town looks like!
Then we could try your excellent suggestion and see what’s in the middle of all the points.

Yes, I believe you are right, she didn’t just chose random locations. The problem is, oops, no map! Quite a shame it wasn’t on the books back cover. that would have been cool. I am also still wondering about why “Amanda” took the brochure for the penthouse. Also, why she made two visits. That being said, though I would love to believe this is all part of a master plan, “Amanda” was always getting new ideas in her head, jumping around from one to the other. I am not sure she could stick to a plot so broad for very long. Somehow, though, she is going to have a reason for everything. I don’t know why she came to Orion, but I feel she is connected to so many people that she will have people to help her along and she will only be found when the time is right, and no sooner. I also suspect that soon after she is unearthed, “Amanda” will find yet another reason to slip away from us.
But in speculation, How could i really know? No doubt i have known “Amanda” (one of the many names i know her as) the longest of anyone, but still I have only dipped my toes into the depths of her mind, which is neither criminal nor lying, or at least, only lying when necessary to keep you all safe. On the fateful day “Amanda” told Callie not to blame her for leaving, Amanda sent a message we cannot take as a farewell, but as “Amanda” giving Callie an inference into her disappearance. Think about it.
