Posting Guidelines

Hey everybody! Welcome to our Amanda Project. We have a few ground rules about posting on the site….

 

DON’T BE A HATER

 

You know what that means. Follow the golden rule and treat everyone like you’d like to be treated. RESPECT one another.

 

DON’T GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You know better than that. You have to protect yourself and be smart online. Don’t share your real name, your password, your e-mail address, pictures of yourself or other personal information with other members. And don’t ask anyone for their personal info.

 

DON’T BREAK THE LAW

Duh. You must not break any laws or egg anybody else on to break the law. That includes posting copyrighted material like music, videos, photos or stuff you didn’t create on have the rights to.

 

DON’T POST ANYTHING OFFENSIVE OR VULGAR

Again, you know exactly what that means. No profanity or foul language. And nothing sexual, racist, or hateful.

 

NO SPAMMING

That means no advertising or promotional materials. We’re sure your Uncle Bob’s model train web site is awesome, but this is not the place to let people know about it. And we certainly don’t want to be invited to join your crazy cousin Cindy’s “can’t fail” ponzi scheme. In fact, we don’t want to see any junk mail, chain letters or solicitation of any kind on these boards.

 

DON’T POST EXTERNAL LINKS

The Internet is super big, and we can’t personally vouch for all of it. We worry about computer viruses, internet scams and other nasty things. Besides, this site is about Amanda.

 

NO BUMPING

Please don’t keep commenting on a post just to bump it up the boards. That’s cheating. And annoying.

 

NO COPY/PASTE POSTS

We don’t want to see a bunch of the same posts over and over. Everybody heard you the first time.

 

NO SHOUTING (I mean, “no shouting”)

Which means no posts in ALL CAPS. Really, that’s just rude. And do you need to use a hundred exclamation points or question marks??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Probably not.

 

PLAY BY THE RULES

We’ll issue warnings as needed, but your account can be banned at any time if you’re not following the rules or playing nice with others.
