Not exactly 1 night...Amanda probably thought about giving money to Callie long before and decided "It's time..." when she heard the phone conversation. As for the car, that would have taken only a few hours. Since Amanda does this kind of thing a lot, it would be no biggie for her. Uh, none of the above. She was probably already rich from something(parents' good jobs, inheritance). A thought(not really idea): Amanda could be playing a challenging game. One or more of her "friends" will win part of her wealth by following her clues and finding her or something...like Rat Race. If I were in Amanda's spot and that was the case, I wouldn't give away the money but set up that kind of challenge-so fun. B.T.W., who's writing as Hal, Nia, Callie and what's-her-face? The author?

AGREED! It's like the Uglies. I recently read Wintergirls, too, and now anorexia/being skinny books aren't so intersting anymore. Did you say it's going to be published in a magazine? Good job!

Grr! So many stories to read! I only read a few, 3 newest and the last on this page(so far). But I noticed SarahB and some other members' names were mentioned in the articles. The same ones, only occasionally different. Regular members? And "Hal", please get a different picture. It's scary. I just joined this thing tonight.
