  1. I know Amanda mostly from the art store where I work, but one time I saw her at Cafe Blue, chatting with an older gentleman. He looked kinda like a professor - tweed jacket and everything. They looked like they'd known each other a long time, which was weird, because Amanda hadn't been in town very long and I didn't think she knew many people in Orion. After all this sticker hype went up, I went back to Cafe Blue and checked the hallway by the bathrooms where they have all those postcards for various community events, and sure enough, in with one stack of postcards was a coyote sticker...

  2. I think we should go back and leave a note in the same place we found the first one. Can't hurt to ask who's there, right? Also - how was whoever left the note getting in and out of that room? If they were going through the house, there must have been footprints in the dust, no? Was anyone looking for that kind of stuff? Or is there an outside-access door or unlocked window in the clean room? Sounds really creepy to me!

  3. It sounds to me like Amanda led us to the train station on purpose, and left those clues on purpose too. Did you check whether or not the circled numbers on the train schedule correspond to page numbers in the journal, or lines of paragraphs on one page that's really marked up or something? Perhaps Amanda is trying to point out some specific information to us. Also - are we sure Amanda is the one who made all the spidery notes? Doctors are known for their terrible handwriting...

  4. Does anyone know if the voice was coming from the regular speakers where the PA announcements usually come from? Because if it was going over IP, don't the speakers have to be attached to the network? I don't know much about computers, but I think that wherever the sound was coming from has to somehow be connected to the same network that the computer used to broadcast the messages is connected to.

  5. To respond to Stef-Stone's question: I think the thing all these memories have in common is that Amanda was a pretty accepting person - she seemed to befriend all kinds of people. I wonder if she was trying to figure out where she fit in, or if she already knew that she didn't fit in anywhere and therefore thought she'd get the best of all worlds.

  6. My first memory of Amanda was when she came into the art shop at the beginning of November. Let's see what the cards spark about that first visit Amanda made to the store: The Highlighter Always looking to highlight the best in a situation (pun intended), you’ll need your optimism in the coming days. When things look a little dark and dreary remember the Reverend Mother from The Sound of Music and know that when a door gets slammed in your face, somewhere a window opens. And no, it’s not to jump out of. Keep your positive outlook on hand and you’ll be fine. >>>I knew right away when she came into the store that she wasn't one of these "student" artists who has to have the best paint set and all the right brushes and pencils before she can start creating. Just like everything else she makes up the rules of her art as she goes along and makes beautiful things out of stuff she finds. So I guess she's an optimist in that way - finds the beauty even in ugly things. I guess because she finds most of her art materials, she always came into the store on a mission for one or two specific little things - a certain metallic ink, a tiny charm. I'm guessing she came whenever she needed that last little something to finish out a project. Or, you know, when she needed supplies like special glue you can't exactly find just anywhere. On that first visit, I remember that she debated over quite a few different tiny charms but ended up purchasing a small gold sun. Then she had me check in the back to see if we had any other "shinny-er" ones, and made sure that the one she bought was the shinniest of all. Kinda weird, right? The Skeleton Key You’re a powerhouse of strength emotionally, physically, or spiritually. As keeper of the key, you hold the power but beware—such metaphysical muscle is a force to be reckoned with. Use it with caution and use it for good. >>> The Key reminded me of glass-doorknob clue and that reminded me that at the last minute during that first trip to the store, Amanda also grabbed a book on glass-etching. Personally glass etching has always intrigued me - you take chemicals and basically destory something to make something even more beautiful. I can see why it would appeal to Amanda. The Fan You were the founding member of your school’s chapter of the Jane Austen fan club. You know every word to every line of every song ever written by the Jonas Brothers. You petitioned your school’s drama department that the spring production NEEDS to be High School Musical. You. Are. A. Fan. And you know what? More power to you. Fans = fun. >>>Nothing much here to report, except that Amanda had a Shakepearean-type felt hat w/ a feather in it that first trip to the store. Maybe she's a Shakespeare expert of something?

  7. Hey - I work at the art shop downtown and came on here because Amanda hasn't stopped in in quite a while - at least not during my shift. The mention of the hoodie made me remember that the last interaction I had with Amanda was when she came into the store carrying a star chart and bought some glow in the dark paint. Seems very Amanda, right? Maybe there's a night sky somewhere with clues in it? The paint she bought was for outdoor/indoor use, so those stars could be anywhere. Or maybe it's nothing. But what if it is? I don't go to Endeavor High - maybe some of you should start turning out the lights in classrooms or the secret room? What do you think?

  8. I agree with Paperdoll and charlotte92 - one of the themes of The Wizard of OZ is a search for self and finding that "home" that's always been in you. The Yellow Brick Road is a spiral, so when you travel it you keep going in circles (and isn't life a series of circles?), but because you learn and gain wisdom along the way, each circle is a little bigger. But you can always follow that spiral back to your center. Maybe Amanda has that wallpaper to remind herself to keep traveling the Yellow Brick Road - to be adventurous and see where that journey will lead her. Maybe the wallpaper is her way of telling the rest of us to not worry. She'll click her heels and come back home eventually.
