Nice acrostic poem, maise123. I especially like the last stanza. Aren't red dresses just to die for... :)

the ever marvelous Coco Chanel is a bit like Amanda in her pioneering yet feminine and wily ways, but I think that Amanda is more of an Alexander McQueen (may he rest in peace) sort of gal. this aside, I could totally see Amanda hiding out in the glitzy corners of Vegas!

super good questions Milana! here's my question: what's cisco's phone number? jk jk! no, seriously, here's my question: on page 250 Hal's mom gave him $2 for lunch, but he only has $1.75 when he goes to give it to Cornelia. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER QUARTER???? is it really gone or is Cornelia trying to squeeze money out of Hal? did Cornelia recognize one of the 8 "quarters" Hal gave her as some other kind of coin, maybe a message from Amanda? so she needed an extra real quarter to buy lunch? does Hal have a gigantic hole in his favorite pair of pants? What else might he have lost? JUST SAYING. discuss.

Hellooooo I'm a deer! I'm pretty bubbly and outgoing, I love making new friends so yah I guess that makes me a deer! The thing I always think of is like...you kno how in Wicked when Galinda sings Popular, all about how she can help Elphaba dress nicer and have manners and not be a freak anymore? I kinda relate to that! I love giving my friends fashion advice and I'd do anything to help them be cooler. Well only if they wanted to, of course.

Woah, the stuff that happened at #7 Holder was crazyyyyy, but it def could not have been Laure the french exchange student. I'm in Le Cercle Culturel de Francais (a.k.a....the French Culture Club) and Laure was with us after school all week and last weekend helping us get ready for the European Fashion Show (and guess who was le directeur? that's right, moi! next stop, the runways of Paris.) You can ask anyone in the club - we were pulling all-nighters until Sunday, and Laure was tres tres helpful. (okay so I might need a french tutor, but the fashion show is going to ROCK because of me.) Anyway, my point is that no WAY she had time to visit Holder St. with all the sewing and pinning she did. C'est magnifique!

Hey guys, sorry I didn't post earlier. I have Mr. V 7th period. I passed Stef and Anna on their way out of the classroom after lunch. They didn't have time to tell me what happened because the period was about to start, but hopefully they'll post here soon. I sat down at the computer, and about 15 minutes into Mr. V's mini-lecture on cross-hatching, the tracker blinked onto the screen. I FREAKED OUT (and accidentally hit Tai with my ruler - sorry Tai!) but a second later, it was gone - no more signal, and no announcement. Now I'm more afraid than ever - what if the Spirit was making sure all of his/her equipment is ready for spilling more secrets during tomorrow's big D.A.R.E. assembly?

I'm probably too late to be an official volunteer, but all I know is that I will definitely be on those bleachers EVERY DAY next week after school watching the boys varsity soccer team practice! <3 <3 <3 <3 GO TEAM CISCO!!!!!! (Sorry Nia, but your brother is seriously the hottest guy *EVER*). Anyhow, if I can tear my eyes off the field, I'll check out the vent under the bleachers and report back.

wait wait wait - it was liza's mom that got us the tape from the surveillance camera, not callie's mom. liza's mom works at the bank. also, I was over callie's house last summer, and her mom was for sure there, since she drove us to the mall...I think she disappeared some time this fall, but definitely before Christmas. I remember Callie being really down around the holidays, that's suchhhh a hard time when someone you love is gone.

VMisMyHero, yeah, maybe one of the themes in Wizard of Oz is friendship, but it’s also about self-sufficiency. (Oh shut it, I wrote last year’s English term paper on themes in the Wizard of Oz.) Everyone in the book (or movie) had what they needed/wanted all along. The Tin Man wasn’t given a real heart, the Scarecrow a brain or the Cowardly Lion bravery. They had these things from the get go and just needed to figure out that they really had them. Even Dorothy had the key to get home – the Wizard just showed her how to use it. So instead of calling for help, maybe Amanda is telling Callie/Nia/Hal/us to chill. To sit back and watch the show. She’s got things under control. Just a thought.
