My "alone place" normally is getting lost in a good book. however, that is not the point. I think the fact that someone besides Maggie is using the room is highly relevant. It could be Amanda. It may not be. The strange, random gifts remind me so much of Amanda. She loved flowers, and seemed to always be quite superstitious. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Is there any possibility that these things are more than just gifts? Easily, they could be clues. For example, the shells give me the idea of a beach. Or anyplace by a lake or sea.

for some reason, i think the door must have been just painted over. There's always the option of chipping off the paint, but that could get you in a lot of trouble with vandalizing the school. If Amanda was living there at any time, she a) doesn't want to be found, b) is trapped inside unless she herself finds a way out or c)is trapped out of her home.

Amanda didn't really seem to care what anyone else thought. She would wear strange stuff, like what you said about the beret and painter's outfit, and didn't get embarrassed. Even if people looked at her funny, which they rarely did. I, myself, can't pretend to not care what others think, as much as I wish I could. I talked with Amanda rarely, but she was always the type that I wanted to talk to more. She gave off an aura of "I WILL stand up for you, and will be a friend. If you can do the same for me."

Ah, love... I personally think that the world pretty much revolves around it. Without love, there is nothing worth living for. No friends, no family, no "special someone". Love is the factor behind everything. I think that there is such a thing as love at first sight, and second loves, but I also believe that if it's love, it will never completely leave you. That person will never be without a piece of your heart, even if your thoughts are moved on. Love=Happiness. Whether or not I've been in love before, I don't really know. I think I have, and am inclined to believe I have. that person has, unfortunately, walked almost out of my life.

Amanda never let anyone in on her panic. She shielded her emotions, just as she seemed to shield everything else possible. She had an enemy. Somewhere, Amanda had somebody who hated her so much that they wanted to kill her. Maybe that's the reason behind why she never said much. SHe would talk, though, if you knew how to persuade her to. WHen i brought up the not, she dropped the conversation completely. It's as tough she was in danger, and didn't want help dealing with it.

Amanda had a method. She had a way of getting rid of her secrets in a way where nobody knew whose secrets they were. It was effective, but left us with many clues. Now, we all realize that every scrap of paper could have been Amanda's, hidden in a secret message, though only a few really are. The hard part is figuring out what is Amanda's, and what, unfortunately, isn't.

This could mean one of two things. 1. Amanda's favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz. 2. This is the key to where she went, and how, and why she went there. Both of which are sort of obvious, but I'm not sure if at this point we should be focusing on a wallpaper to solve a mystery.

*laughs* This is EXACTLY the sort of thing Amanda would say. Only she would predict something like that, and only she would have had the sight to see the unfortunate event of Casey's father's death. She was always the type to know more than she let on to.

The dark makes us see things that aren't really there. It automatically makes our imagination go into overdrive. Suddenly, you see monsters and villians that normally wouldn't be there. In daytime, you don't see the shadows that create those.

Yeah, eyebrows are a key to character. Tatooed eyebrows are normally a sign of hostility. Or evil. One of the two. A You can tell a lot about a person by their eyebrows.. from how well groomed they are, to the shape, and the volume. Details like this help make the character of a person.
