It's $2,500, dear, but your point is made. :)

Well, here's a theory on how she might have found out about your financial situation before the phone call. What if a member of her clandestine family, or maybe even just a friend, works at the bank? She might have stumbled across information about the Leary's mortgage there before she even got to know Callie! Now, I'm not saying that she sought you out only for that reason, Callie, but it could have been one of the reasons. Then again, maybe she only began to guess that day when your brought her over to your house. She's very perceptive that way. Perhaps your dad's phone call only affirmed her speculations, and knowing Amanda she would find some way to do something about it. As for where the funds came from, perhaps Amanda comes from a family that has funds that their disposal, like the Braggs, except not as obnoxious about it. If this is the case, then maybe what seemed like a lot of money to you didn't seem like a lot to her. Of course, I would be jealous of a girl to whom $2,500 isn't a lot, but it happens. On the other hand, maybe Amanda just didn't spend that much money. Maybe she's like my mom, who doesn't spend any money unless the item she's shopping for is on sale or at a discount store. She could have just saved up all of her birthday, holiday, and allowance money over her life. That adds up a lot if you think about it, especially if what I suggested above about available funding is true. I do think she's completely capable of doing this in one night. I do think she was planning on going away for a while, but the money I think could have been a one-night thing, especially if she already had the money. Besides, she did have help on Thonhill's car! I'm dying to know who that second person was. I haven't had the chance to talk to Meg lately, since her family's been on vacation, but I'll keep trying. Oh, I feel like such an awful friend for thinking that this well-placed vacation is so suspicious! I don't like thinking bad things about Meg! Part of me hopes she isn't involved at all, but what if she is? I don't know what I'd do. :(

Oh my gosh! I'm like, flipping out right now. Callie, where you ever friends with Meggin "Meg" Burke, before you became an I-Girl?! She's my best friend now! I could totally do some digging if it's the same girl! She and I are like sisters! I mean, she's never mentioned you, but she strongly believes in letting bygones be bygones, or forgive and forget, so it would make sense that she wouldn't dwell on any falling-out you guys might have had. I can't believe I forgot about the postcard! Wasn't Meg's last name ripped off? What if it really is my Meg? This is sooo creepy. I mean, until now I was only vaguely connected to this whole mystery, but this really makes it hit home! I'm getting shivers! Please please please let me know if this is the same girl and if it is I'll see what I can find out from Meg about Amanda. Maybe they had conversations that Meg just didn't feel the need to share! In other news, I am seriously sensing a triangular relationship between Thornhill, Amanda, and Ursula. I don't really know what it is, but I really am feeling it. Sheesh. This is tangled.

My friend Meg and I say "Toe Sotally." It was my fault. I was walking across the stage in ballet flats and I tripped. Then, I tried to say "I so totally tripped over a flat surface!" But my tongue got tied and instead I said, "I toe sotally tripped ..." So that's one! My brothers and I have like, a mini-sign language, too. If we ever need to communicate in a group of people but don't want other people to know what we're saying, we'll use that. Even our parents aren't in on it!

I saw one at the blackbox theatre!! I spend a lot of time there for play rehearsal, and we have this really cool wall in the foyer where people from the audience post their favorite lines from whatever play they had just seen. There's another one backstage where the cast does it before the cast party. It's a cool place to hang out, and Meg and I were there and looking at the front wall for fun. I was flipping over sheets (the quotes are on post-it notes, often piled over each other). I turned over one of the pages on the bottom layer (seriously, it was a quote from like, six years ago when the players did "Richard III") and there was a STICKER!! It was one of Amanda's coyotegirl stickers! Since obviously Amanda wasn't here six years ago, she clearly hid it down there on purpose! It was right beneath (like, directly) one of the quotes from the show, and the quote sounded like something Amanda would say: "When clouds appear, wise men put on their cloaks. When great leaves fall, the winter is at hand. When the sun sets, who doth not look for night?" Is this a clue?? I don't know! But is it worth checking out? Yeah!

I'm totally in! I'll put one up on the telephone pole outside the church. She came enough times to count on less than one hand, but she might just need to know that I'm behind her. I'm sure my youth pastor won't mind! And maybe I can have one of my older brothers see if there's a sticker (one of ours or one of hers) up by #7 on Holder. I'm not brave enough to go myself. But it's an address that has been popping up, so I figure, what the heck?

I personally don't think that Amanda has really gone all the way to Paris. She's a smart girl. She knows that it's impossible for us to go running after her to Europe. However, I think it's fairly reasonable to say that all these clues that have led us to Paris indicate that she _has_ been there at some point in her life. It's obviously an important place for her. It's a city of artists, and Amanda is nothing if not an artist. So, I would continue to follow up on these clues, because they'll probably lead us closer to Amanda by giving us clues about who she is, but not necessarily where she is now.

Yeah, I agree with those who say that this isn't Amanda-related. It just seems like some nasty senior prank or something equally as juvenile. We ought to make a pact, those of us seeking Amanda, to not laugh at any potential secrets that might come out. Amanda has taught us better than to do stuff like that. In other news, I'm totally syked about the Jazz Concert coming up!

Geez, the trumpet section's theory of Slimester hiding mutilated bodies down there is starting to sound more and more viable. Ick. Definitely do the handwriting check! Maybe it was Slimester, or even the VP! Um, and I would fingerprint it too. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how to do that since I don't know myself, but it sounds like a cool idea. Oh! What about ... well, it would be a little too complicated. I don't think the bio lab has the materials needed to perform Gel Electrophoresis. Plus, you'd have to process the DNA samples before hand, I don't know how to do that ... ugh. Sorry. This whole crime-scene thing is a little more complicated than they let on in all those TV shows. :/

Stay away from Ouija boards!!!! That's just asking for trouble. But I'm all for the nanny-cam!! ^.^ Well, so much for the "pipes" theory the clarinet section was maintaining. Like I said, I don't think anyone actually ever opened the door, and I even doubt anyone currently in the band ever even saw it. If they had, it'd been all over the school by now. I agree with AwesomeAmanda93, that the janitors would know about the door. Who knows, maybe they even know about the little room? But I can't imagine Slimester Stan crawling down there to check on things, if you know what I'm saying. And personally, he's always kind of creeped me out, and I highly doubt he's helping Amanda in any way. Still, I don't rule out the possibility that it could be one of her hideouts (I say "one of" because if Amanda was trying to stay hidden, she wouldn't choose just one place. She's smarter than that.)
