Pretty interesting...I never actually MET Amanda, but I feel like I know her from all of the stories I've read about her, including the actual book.

I think she had a hunch all along that the money would be needed. She probably kept it somewhere safe (how are we supposed to find out WHERE she got it??) when she first went to Orion, knowing that she would help someone with it. She may or may not have known WHO would need it or WHY, but she knew she would need it. And, who knows?? Maybe it was counterfiet, meant to shock Callie's dad back into the real world, but given to them knowing they wouldn't actually use it. Maybe she always knew that SOMEONE would need it and saved whatever money she could up until she actually gave it to Callie. Whatever it was, Amanda knew before that night at Callie's house that she would need the money, counterfeit or not, at some point.
