  1. Another theory here, what if it was Susanna who wrote the 'Amanda Valentino where r u?' message in the Arcadia? Callie said she thought she recognised a girl from her school there, what if was Susanna?

  2. OMG! Does anyone else remember there was also a lizard picture on the car along with Hal, Callie and Nia's totems?! What if Susanna is the lizard? Or maybe it's a chameleon, something that blends in, which is why noone noticed her before?! Either way she has something to do with Amanda,I mean, a coyote and a key? Too much to be a coincedence!

  3. Yay! Finally, that mystery is solved! But we have to remember, there are still so many other mysteries surrounding Amanda and her disappearance. And I wonder what she's doing with the other $2,500? Like SarahB, I think she's using it to live off. I mean, what else could she use it for? I also think that there's more to the Edward Lear reference than the Lear E thing, with Amanda there could be many layers of meaning, unless it was just to get Callie to think back to the convosation.

  4. I'm just gonna recap what I've read, know and think. Edward Lear was a famous nonsense poet, who wrote the Owl and Pussycat, which Amanda recited to Callie (he also included Owls, Nia's totem, in other poems and illustrations of his). She said a piece of yellow sea-glass she owned was the exact colour she always imagined the sand to be in the poem. It is possible this sea glass is the star sapphire in question. It is also possible this has nothing to do with Amanda, but as someone else said, there are no coincedences here. A little thought of mine which probably doesn't mean anything but, if you're wondering if the purple ink's Amanda's, well, I remember reading she had a purple cloak she was fond of, it was how Callie recognised her in one of Hal's drawings. Might not have anything to do with anything, but, as I said, just a thought.

  5. hmmmmm... I think I agree with Strawbezz, I think the money came from Callie's mum. I mean, I didn't know Amanda that well but from what I've heard she doesn't seem the type to steal.

  6. I didn't really know her that well, but she left an impression. I was on holiday (I'm from England), and I was just out clothes shopping. Suddenly, this girl appears from nowhere and starts talking to me, helping me pick out clothes. It was weird, and I could just tell there was something a bit...different about her. But she seemed so nice and helpful. Anyway, I bought the clothes and turned to talk to her but she was already leaving. 'I'm Amanda Valentino, by the way' She said and then she left. I never saw her again. I'm back in England now, and when I saw the book and found out she was missing, I was shocked. I can't do much over here but I hope she can be found. She's one of those people you don't forget.
