If someone loves what they do, for Amanda being writing, they're bound to do it more often, and she was bound to do it more than just articles in the school newspaper. Now you may shoot that down because she was always doing something or whatever, but just hear me out. Maybe Amanda herself had an actual book published under a pen name. If Hal, Nia, and Callie could find that book, maybe it would lead them to another clue. Maybe the book itself would be a clue. Then the only thing left to do would be to figure out her pen name...and that's where my idea stops.
