OMG YOU KNOW ABOUT ANIMUSIC! You are my new best friend. Not only do you like Taylor Swift, you also know what Animusic is. You rock. Verb. :)

Amanda used to talk about the stars a lot. She said that even though they were all different, and in all possible areas of the sky, they were connected somehow. Sometimes, after meeting someone new, or seeing someone she used to know, she'd say, "And there goes another star. Connected to everyone, but nowhere to go." I asked her once if she was a star, and she shook her head. But now that I think about it, she called herself a planet once. "Connected to the same system, but always moving. Always circulating, wandering around. Always changing the arrangement of the rest." Sounds like something she would do, finding Callie's mom and smuggling the money into her friend's house. It mixed up Callie's life, made her different. That's what Amanda did best.

While I knew Amanda, she was definitely a liar. But she didn't call it lying. She called it "expanding the truth a bit". But I never knew her to steal anything. In fact, I watched her catch a thief one day and return something he'd stolen- some sort of expensive watch- and give it back instead to the man he stole it from. I mean, nobody saw her apprehend the child but me. She could have kept it. But she didn't. About the money-- Amanda was always into the whole "giving you a chance to do something" thing. As in, if you give something to somebody else, it leaves the the chance to do whatever they need to with their new resource. Amanda left Callie the perfect amount for the mortgage. But if Callie wanted to use it a different way, it's entirely possible that was the intention as well.

Yori: AwesomeAnna93 said there's a dance at the Riviera Country Club, and a Haunted House at Cypress Point Park. I'm gonna be at the dance, looking out for suspicious stuff like stickers and Amanda. I also might go out for ice cream or something afterward. Wanna come with? To the dance, not just the ice cream... Why would Amanda be at the Carnival? If she's hiding, and there's a major, epic reason she doesn't want to be found, why would she turn up there? Especially if there was a goon in a black suit watching for people to pull over and threaten. What if he's from whoever is hunting from Amanda?

I'll go to the Country Club dance, then. And MackenzieC, good idea about the eclipse! I'll definitely look into that.

Wow. There's also a book called, "Leaving Jetty Road", but I'm not sure it would have any relevance to Amanda. And I haven't read it in forever; I didn't like it very much.

Wait a minute. Isn't there a school dance this Halloween? Or a party somewhere? I can't remember. Amanda might show up to one of those. Or any other mysterious people. EVERYBODY, EYES OPEN ON SATURDAY!!!!

Hey! I might have something! "Jetty" is from the French word for " jetée" or "to throw", like to throw something out. Maybe Amanda threw out other identities, or completely severed herself from her past and is making something new. That might be why she keeps changing her story. She might not be able to decide what she likes yet. Wikipedia also said this: "A jetty is a structure extending into a body of water, which protects a harbor or coastline from the effects of currents and tides". Maybe Amanda's protecting us from something, or the Jetty she keeps referring to is a team of people protecting her. DARN IT, AMANDA. I have school. You're distracting me. You're such a diva sometimes.

That's so Amanda. Jetty always referred to a different person. Or maybe a bunch of people in a group called "Jetty"... could somebody look that up and see what they can find out?

I was at the carnival, too. After playing some games, I checked out the other activities. Like everybody else, Madame Z's caught my eye, but so did something else- the figure sneaking out the back of her tent! I followed them for a while, but I think I was too loud-- I've never been good at silent tracking :P. A branch the stranger pushed away smacked me in the face, and I went down. By the time I got up, they were gone. I think I know who it was, though, and it wasn't Amanda... As some, but not all, of you know, I knew Amanda before she moved here. She lived down the street from my sister and I, and due to my mother, we didn't see each other every day. But she used to tell me all about this kid she knew who she called, "Jetty". I think she introduced me to them once or twice, but they always looked different. One time it was an emo guy. Another time, it was a little girl, maybe four! But the last time I remember really well. Amanda and I were walking down the street, and she noticed somebody on the other side. Then, being Amanda, she turned to me and said, "Jetty's been getting better, don't you think?" And she walked off in the opposite direction of whoever she noticed. It was busy, but I think I saw the last Jetty. Female, blonde hair, slim, dressed in green capris and an army shirt. I think the final Jetty was at the carnival that night. Does anybody else remember Amanda before she moved to Orion? Did she ever mention Jetty?
