But I must say... Another thing connection we have been missing is the postcard, the ripped postcard that Hal, Nia and Callie all received a piece of. It talked about Meg, and Callie figurd out that she may have been referring to is her old friend Meg, who she was friends with before she became an "i" girl. And the Meg in the book. And I apologise, I have a terrible memory, and I have forgotten both the name of the book and Callie's friend Meg's last name. Can somone elighten me? Anyway, I have been wondering about how they are connected, if this Meg charater is also a "partener in crime," or if she was maybe another person who was supposed to be drawn together with Hal, Nia and Callie, but somehow avoided the situation. Possibly rubbing of the totem on her locker before Thornhill or anyone else could see it? That maybe explains the other totem that they saw (or possibly) saw on the car. the Lizard. And there was another piece to the postcard missing, wasn't there? Maybe Meg was the one who got that last piece, but thought nothing of it. Also, something rather large must have happened between AManda and Meg that Meg wouldn't want to be part of the mystery, and would just let the fact that Amanda disappeared pass her by. Maybe she knows something omre, something the others don't know, that has either ruined or jeopordized her connection with Amanda. This is just a theory, but amybe we should think about it? - ♥ Poet

Tell you the truth guys, I think all of this makes sense... But I must disagree on one point, There is pretty much no way that Callie and Amanda can be half sisters, and have Ursula as their mum. For one, Amanda and callie are in the same year at school, meaning they are most likely born within a year of each other. Ursula couldn't have had two babies in one year... I know, I know, it is possible for someone to have two babies in one year, but I mean, Callie's dad would DEFINITELY have noticed if his wife was pregnant. And even if he wasn't with her at the time, its not like straight after Ursula had Amanda she met Callie's dad and he got her pregnant straight away. But otherwise, this story would have been perfectly plausable. Im not disagreeing, but this is a fact you will have to take into consideration. Of course, there are still other ways that this could happen, and there are more answers that need to be solved...

I know this probably completely irrelevant and stupid idea, and I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet because since I got the idea I didn't read anymore responses, but... Could it be possible that Amanda is Ursula's (Callie's mum) illegitiment daughter?

I agree with most things said here, but why exactly would Amamda give callie the exact amount of money for the mortgage, if she didn't mean for it to be used that way? None of this makes any sense... But then again, when does Amanda ever make sense? It seems that she tries very hard not to make sense. Or maybe she thinks that everyone is on the same level as her intellectually, but we aren't as smart as she thought? Only time will tell I guess...

Tell you the truth, I don't really know what my picture says, Its just a thing my friend put on for me. And I can think of no one in anyway similar to Amanda. I found her to be original. She was truly great.

My resolution is to be more confident and patient with myself, and with my writting abilities. I also need to stop delaying things, and slowing down the process of my future. I need to get out there and show my abilities to the world, so that I can one day make a name for myself.

Amanda and I used to pass notes... All the time. When I knew her, we were both really into Shakespeare, and one of our note-writting tactics was to write like he would. For example, if I wrote: For the day gets dark when nightfall comes, If thy would like to follow thee, the west of the town I will be. To be or not to be? It could be translated to: Hey, at sundown, lets meet at the hill at the west end of the park, Yeah? And if Amanda wrote back: To be. It could be translated to: Totally. As far as passing the notes was concerned, I used to carry around a tupperware container to keep all my pencil shavings in, so I didn't have to get up to go to the bin. We just used to pass that to each other, with the note in it. That way, everyone thought we were just borrowing each others sharpeners! We made sure we didn't pass it too often though, otherwise people would get suspicious. Also, with the phone subject. Amanda asked me when we first met if I had a phone and I replied, "No, I don't need one. If I was that desperate to talk to someone while I was out, I would find a phone box. IM is also ruining the english language, and why would I want anything to do with that?" She looked at me for a while, before getting her phone out of her pocket and letting it drop to the floor. It broke, but she still trod on it to make sure it was really broken. "I totally agree with you. I will never use a phone again." I ended up getting a phone shortly ater she left town. I wish I could of had one that first day, then she never would have smashed her phone and I would have her number, so I could try to talk to her now....
