Okay so we keep stumbling upon this number, number 23 which turns out to have almost as much baggage attached to it.  BlueRoseGrey did some research and found out that the number 23 is very important in the philosophy of Discordianism.  I guess they believe that everything that happens on earth somehow has to do with the number 23.  It makes me think about patterns and repetitions.  Sometimes, I will learn a new word and then start to hear that word everywhere, in every sentence.  Sometimes I will think about blackbirds and out of the blue five are perched in the tree outside of my house. I wonder if this is the power of the mind, or if people just see what they are looking for, you know? It’s hard to tell.

Along the same vein, we have to think about our clues in a similar manner. Does it mean something that there was a famous mathematician with the same name as Stark?

Astoriamiller pointed this out. Is there meaning or a clue there? Might we be able to dig up some dirt on Louise through this, as Zylaar says?

These questions are still out there in the ether. This week just seemed full of questions with no answers in sight.  It was a good thing that Hal gave Cornelia the task of looking up big stories that happened during Louise’s High school Career.  Cornelia called us on her bike ride home and we could barely contain our curiosity, we were waiting by the door right when she got home.

She slapped the photocopied news article onto Hal’s kitchen table, we all gaped.

“Principal Fitzgerald was violently attacked outside of Endeavor High School sometime last night between the hours of 8pm to 2am.”

Does anyone else have a feeling of déjà vu?

    Somewhat?

Once again, thank you Cordelia for looking this stuff up.

I’m feeling a lil’ bit more than just deja vu. This is exactly what happened to Thornhill, or at least this is similar enough. If there was also a car decoration prior to the attack then…
Cordelia, can you find out what became of Fitzgerald for us? Maybe his fate can help us figure out what exactly is going on or what Thornhill’s fate may be.

Louise, Louise, Louise, oh so cryptic Louise. She definitely knows a lot more than she’s letting on…
I think that the similar name between Stark and the mathematician and the number 23 are somehow related. I’m not too sure how but I honestly think they are.

Ah, so many clues…so little time to find Amanda

      • Zylaar

Oh dang. Who could it be? Could this be a clue or whatever we’re looking for to tie some links? It very well could be.
Endeavour High. Louise. Stark. Fitzgerald. Attacked. It’s a bit weird don’t you think? Like, what, the DAY we find out about all this Endeavour business, the principal gets attacked. Weird huh?
Find info. Find links. Tie up those links. And bam! There you have it. Your answer.
To what? Anything. Where Amanda is, all this Louise business, Stark, Endeavour, anything, but you get answers. So I suggest tying up more links fast.

Huge deja vu there.  The person who attacked Principal Fitzgerald has to be the same one who attacked VP Thornhill.  I only wonder why.  Maybe Fitzgerald knows as much about this Amanda deal as THronhill seems to know.
We should look him up and see what Fitzgerald is up to now.

          • Faith

Ok, either I have gone mad or this is definitely déjà vu.

Maybe you should try to find out all you can about the person who attacked the principles. They could be the same person, or they could actually be a big group.

Attacks don’t just happen for no reason. Maybe the principles knew too much, or they somehow had something the bad people wanted…

Somehow, this could also be the people who were after Amanda. But the question is _why?_

            • ZoeElise

What if there is a pattern being followed, maybe 23 things that happened after each attack before the next. Try making, maybe a list and seeing how many significant things happened between Thornhill and Fitzgerald’s attacks, then see if those things happen again, and then maybe you can predict the next attack. If there is another attack that is.

                  I thought i would get the definition of stark. (;

rigid in or as if in death
                  b : rigidly conforming (as to a pattern or doctrine) : absolute <stark discipline>
                  2 archaic : strong, robust
                  3 : utter, sheer <stark nonsense>
                  4 a : barren, desolate
                  b (1) : having few or no ornaments : bare <a > (2) : harsh, blunt <the stark realities of death>
                  5 : sharply delineated <a >

this is info about Harold StarkA famous mathematician .  :) hope it helps!!!!

Harold Mead Stark (born August 6, 1939, Los Angeles, California) is an American mathematician, specializing in number theory. He is best known for his solution of the Gauss class number 1 problem, in effect correcting and completing the earlier work of Kurt Heegner; and for Stark’s conjecture. He has recently collaborated with Audrey Terras on zeta functions in graph theory. He is currently on the faculty of the University of California at San Diego.
Stark received his bachelor’s degree from California Institute of Technology in 1961 and his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in 1964. He was on the faculty at the University of Michigan from 1964 to 1968, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1968 to 1980, and at the University of California, San Diego from 1980 to the present.
Stark was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1983 and to the United States National Academy of Sciences in 2007.

                    • Bellaronda

There is also a author named Richard Stark and afew artists with the last name of stark. the first names are Ron, Jen, and John. There was also a german scientist named Johannes Stark. He was a German physicist, and Physics Nobel Prize laureate who was closely involved with the Deutsche Physik movement under the [removed] regime.

i so totaly get where ZoeElise is coming from!!! i mean, its a very good theory! there must have been many important clues and things we must have discovered since thornill was attacked, but there must be at least 23 things that really, really stood out. and we have met so many new people since then, maybe one of them with their name value 23, is the clue? after all, we are closer than we think.

on a totaly different note, i do see a pattern between the attacks. i mean, you guys had just started the search for amanda in earnest and put up this site when it happened, right? meaning whoever did it was warning you not to go further; trying to keep you guys away.  and right now, the same thing happened, right? when we finally are closer than we think, and definatly closer to amanda, another attack.
is it just me, or does this seem like a warning? i know that amanda would never get any one beaten up for the sole purpose of getting us a clue, right?
this just proves that there is someone ruthless going after amanda, and i think that principal fitzgerald would not have gotten beaten up if he didnt have anything to do with amanda.

call me a craven,[get the pun? i mean a coward…] but i really think that things are getting serious, n that only means we have to go full in, analyzing everything. oh, n being more careful too…..

                        • Yelyah46

HEY GUYS!!!! I’M BACK!!!! K so, this is DEFINITELY very scary, this is a MAJOR deja vu! So.. I think that history is repeating itself, so you guys should definitely find out more about what happened because…. whatever happened to that principle will most likely happen to your current one. If something else is going to happen and you find out before it happens maybe you could prevent it and find out who’s laying all of these clues or hurting people!!

                          IT’S GOOD TO BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

                          • queenchuki

IT IS MAJOR DEJA VU!! I mean, Amanda and Callie’s mom send a letter to Thronhill, and he gets attacked.. Then now, Fitzgerald gets attacked! This is too much to be just a coincidence or a grudge.. I have a feeling whatever’s happening is something bigger than a missing Amanda and mom of Callie, I think it includes a lot of people in your town, especially those you are acquainted to! I think that you just need one more thing/person to connect all of these together, and it may be right inn front of you, but you don’t notice it!

                            • Yelyah46

Woah… queenchuki just reminded me a lot of Amanda… I mean, it was probably just a typo but, she said in with 2 n’s. So it spelled inn. But, first of all where is Amanda staying? We know that she’s probably in town, but she’s staying somewhere secret, somewhere that nobody would think of to look. It wouldn’t be in a house because, first of all that would be too obvious, the person she’s staying with might leak the secret, or you guys would probably find it because you’ve probably checked pretty much every house in the city. Amanda probably isn’t staying with someone else, she’s going for the lone wolf style. She’s staying low, mysterious, but she’s always there somehow. Which led me to think…. an inn! Nobody names hotels “inns” anymore, but Amanda has always been the one to go places where other people don’t. Maybe there’s an old abandoned inn, or just a rundown inn where nobody ever goes or stays, you guys should definitely look there.

This probably means NOTHING at all but… everything counts right? Oh and maybe one of the keys leads to one of the doors!!!! I don’t know, it just made sense 30 seconds ago to me but… yeah. :)

                              • BlueRoseGrey

                                whoa. That’s crazy….

Stark just makes me think of Tony Stark (haha Iron Man xD ) *ahem* anyway.

Obviously there’s something going down. Perhaps whoever is hurting the principals wants to get the job themselves? Maybe there’s some files somewhere that only the principal can obtain…

Kind of like Snape and the Dark Arts job. All he wants is that job, so that’s the job that the teachers keep disappearing from. Eventually Snape gets the job as the Dark Arts teacher, and the offing of teachers stops (for the most part of course) . Maybe this situation is similiar.

                                Yay for references! :D

first thing: HELLOOO AGAAAIN!!! I have re-arrived!! anyways, BlueRoseGray, while thats close, i dont think anyone wants to take the job, exactly. Does anyone remeber the whole thing that lead up to Thornhill being attacked? He knew things, and so did Pinciple Fitzgerald. My reasoning would be that thers something that every principle is supposed to know and protect, or more likely figure out, BUT i bet both principle thornhill AND fitzgerld got too close to firguring out, which is why they were attacked and put off. ehhh? sound resonable?

                                  • queenchuki

Yelyah46,when you say that I remind you of Amanda, is it a compliment or what??? Anyway I never noticed the typo and what you said sounds Luke something Amanda would do.. And BlueRoseGrey, I don’t think someone would go THAT extremely for just a job, but who knows, in Orion nothing is ever as it seems

Believe me, I know what you mean. Someone used the phrase “Catch 22” and I had no idea what it meant, so it was explained to me, and I swear that I’d never heard it before then, but the in next week I must have heard it half a dozen times.
Either it suddenly became a new word trend like “sick” and “beast” and “boss”, or I just wasn’t paying attention.
                                      Amanda’s kind of like that.
She makes you pay attention to things you would have never, ever noticed before.
She makes us find what is lost and no one is looking for.

In the second book, Hal thought that Amanda’s last name wasn’t
valentino, also remember in the first book, no Amanda Valentino
was in the school records, i think that that’s the reason why…
                                                  just thinking…

Hmm… is this coincidence or an important clue to figuring this all out… I’m unsure…
However if queenchu,ki is right about how Amanda and Callie’s mum sent a letter to thornhill and he got attacked and if these were related who do you reckon sent a letter to Fitzgerald… was it Amanda trying to contact him…
Also again with the 23 it could also mean something like 23 attacks… or letters…hmm…
Anyway this incident is definitely de ja vu!! We just have to figure out why???

Major deja vu. I wonder if it’s the same people??? The number 23 could mean anything. House number, attacks, people….. there’s so many meanings.

                                                      • 15DaysOfSumer

I definitely think that they are the same people who attacked Thornhill. Whoever has been attacking these people are DESPERATE to get information. Why else would he/she/they/it want to? I think they want to get into the principals office to find out more about Amanda, and who are the people who could get in the way? The People who work in the same office! I think that there next target could be someone from their section, maybe the secretary.
Also, if the number 23 is so significant, you should be on the lookout at all times. Who knows what could pop out? Like aqua_love said, house numbers, attacks, people, DATES… but why?
