The good news is that Cornelia’s idea seems to be a hit…our stickers are everywhere and you guys are uncovering Amanda’s stickers, too. The bad news is that now Cornelia won’t stop rattling on about how great she is and even has a song about it that she bursts in with every ten minutes. Believe me, I want to find Amanda…but is this the cost?
What we know:
Laure saw them in Paris, of course, and crummyblaire saw one by the Orion fire station. CheekyMonkey found one at the Arcadia, a known hang-out of Amanda’s. AwesomeAnna93 has seen 3 or 4 stickers that are a few months old. One was at Just Desserts and another by the teacher parking lot at school. MackenzieC saw stickers on a Beatles CD, a hospital seat, and in one of her ballet shoes.
Well, my main contribution is that coyote girl sticker on my guitar case, which I had with me at the open mike show at the Arcadia last night. I found the sticker CheekyMonkey saw, on a wall among all of the band stickers, away in a corner.
But then a kid comes up to me, having seen my sticker. Reluctantly says he’s friends with Kyle, everyone’s least favorite PA-system-hijacking creep and that he’s seen coyote girl before, stuck on a wall in Kyle’s room. Kyle had been sneaking around the Riviera apartments and saw the sticker on a doorjamb of one of the unsold units. The lock hadn’t been put in yet and so he went in and poked around. In one of the walk-in closets, he found some food wrappers, a pile of rare books, and, scattered all around, ripped out pages from Amanda’s journals that he used to get some of that info. He had also found some of the pages in the woods behind the school and other crazy places, but when he saw this mother lode, he realized who had collected the secrets.
So we might not have solved exactly what we set out to, but as usual we shuffle off with something else to help chip away at the mystery. The source of Kyle’s power. . . and we know that Amanda WAS hanging out at the Riviera. So I would put this one in the win column for us!
