The Dropped Note: Part 1

Hey Everybody – I’m posting this for TrigistheDevilsInstrument –

I sat behind Amanda in trigonometry. She was … is? … super smart. One of those people who seems like they never have to study but always gets As. Maybe it was because she didn’t care. Maybe that’s the secret to good grades. Anyway, she was awesome at cosines, functions, and everything in between.

One day, in the middle of Mrs. Watson’s lesson on the law of tangents (and no one can go on a tangent about tangents like Watson), I saw Amanda open a note and turn white as a ghost. White. As. A. Ghost. Whatever was written on that piece of paper freaked the socks of off Amanda (and I, for one, didn’t know that was possible). I’m not sure where the note came from, exactly. I just looked up and saw her reading it, a sort of parchment-colored notepaper. Amanda gathered her books and stuff and flew out of the classroom – she didn’t ask permission, didn’t make excuses. That was just her way. I’m pretty sure that the note fell on the floor in all her hustle and bustle to get out of there. The weird thing is, I swear it was there one second and gone the next.

Did anyone else in Mrs. Watson’s third period Trig see this?

I remember that. It didn’t seem like anything at the time but I guess now it’s kind of creepy.

Didn’t Ryan Miller sit next to Amanda in Trig? Maybe he picked up the paper.

      • TrigistheDevilsInstrument

I asked Ryan and he doesn’t remember anything. Shocker. The thing is, no one sat in the seat on the other side of Amanda.

I’m not in her class (Blasted math. I’ll never get the hang of it.), But I saw her not long after, I think. I was just out, getting a drink of water (Said-roaming the halls-) and she blasted past me, the expression on her face almost unreadable. She was practically kicking up dust, but when I asked about it, nobody knew.

Are you sure it fell in the class? If it got kicked out into the hallway, anyone could have it. I’ll ask around.

I remember that, I just brushed it off as “weird Amanda”. I thought it was odd that I didn’t see anyone give her the note. If it really did ‘disappear’, could it have just ‘appeared’? And from where? With Amanda, I won’t even ask how.

            • Lexis

Quite odd, isn’t that Katie chick in that class too. I wonder if she saw anything…. weird stuff. We should do a search for that mysterious note, you think? ask around or something?...

              • Kewpie83

I’m in that class, too.  Amanda did run out in a hurry, didn’t she?  What about the rumor that the janitor has a stash of kids secret notes?  Maybe he picked up and put it in with this collection?

                • Shadoughes.

No, I asked him, he said that I was being Ridiclious, as if he would save children’s notes. shocker. If he did save the note, he won’t admit it. some one has to check.

Oh I remember this day. I always thought that Amanda was afraid of nothing. Her face perfectly fit my face whenever I see an icky spider dangling from the ceiling, but something tells me this was something big. Whatever was written on that must be very important. I’ll bet Mrs Watson got a hold of it. Shes always reprimanding kids for passing/writing notes in class, and collecting the notes.

I’m in that class too! It was so weird. Mrs. Watson didn’t even do anything to stop her! I wonder why..

                      • DeeSweetsz

I’m not in that class either, but I saw Amanda in the hallway shaking her head and whispering to herself. The weird thing is, she had a piece of paper that sound like the one you described when I saw her..
                        hmmm…....

Im not in tig with you guys but i take geometry right after you and i swore i saw a note under the cabnet.

I don’t have Mrs. Watson’s class! Darn, me. I did hear a rumor, though, that she left the school in a hurry. (She didn’t even come back for the rest of the day!)

What is her family life like? Hum ...

I was in the hallway at the time as well
Amanda was shaking her head I waved but she was in a hurry
So i didn’t ask her what was up…

                              • Ashley

I have her class, I thought I saw it too. In fact, I actually thought it was my math homework (which had somehow disappeared from my binder) I was a few desks away though. by the time I got there it was gone…

                                Maybe someone picked it up?

                                • kimberly

Even though I was “throughly” working on my math, I did see a piece of paper on the floor. I didn’t think anything of it but I think I saw Amanda kind of kick it with her feet while she was walking. But I never saw her pick it up. I think that maybe it ended up at the front of the class and A) Mrs. Watson picked it up, B) one of the students picked it up, C) it ended up in the trash or D) the teacher who shares Mrs. Watson’s room took it….but which one? or are there more?

I was in the hallway running an errand and I did see Amanda. She like pretty much flew by me. I called out to her but she just kept walking. Weird….

as far as i remember.as she was a pretty good friend of mine, she had a sixth sense, that note it didnt have any bad news or smthn written on it,it was just a note passed by 1 of the class mates.she could sense by the things going arund her what was gonna happen .that note’s aura was full of evil vibes that made her sense smthn.smthn wierd, smthn never herd said or seen before.god nows wether it was good or bad…...........or breath taking

                                      • Ashley

banking on Amanda’s sixth sense, the person who is meant to have it has, or will have it

I am in Trig, the class Amanda was in. I saw the note fall, and grabbed it. I have it now.

                                          • Krystal2295

If the note scared Amanda that much, then maybe it had evil vibes, something her senses picked up or something that happened from somewhere she used to live(as she moved around much).

                                            • kellyb

ok, has anyone just asked Mrs. Watson? i mean, it’s strange to me that she didn’t say anything when Amanda stormed out of the room…and she doesn’t seem to be helping us find Amanda, so maybe she’s involved somehow? Does anybody remember how many times Mrs. Watson kept Amanda after class to “talk”? what was all that about anyway? if i had to guess, i’d say Mrs. Watson has the note.

                                              • Serenity

I rememder that. I didn’t see the note but I did see Amanda leave in a hurry. I wonder what it said to make Amanda that scared.

                                                • babigurl10546

I wasn’t in that class but I did overhear Mrs. Watson share her concern for Amanda with some other teachers. She described her reaction as “a look of worry and fright but acceptance”. She said that she was going to go after her to find out what scared her but decided that this was something she shouldn’t interfere with. It was as if Amanda knew this was coming all along but didn’t want to beleive it…

I’m in, well i was in, her class. Except i sat in the front on the opposite side of the classroom so we didn’t talk much. I remember when she ran out and i have to sa, just a thought, but maybe everyone’s focusing on the wrong thing that happened that afternoon. Amanda ran out- yes we all saw that. But something else caught my high. Mrs. Watson. When Amanda ran out she looked neither scared nor angry in fact she had a smile on her face. But that’s all i could see because she saw me watching her and quickly looked away

                                                    • tiffany923

if mrs watson looked happy about amanda leaving, then maybe she gave amanda the note. still, why would she do that? i wasn’t in that class, but i was in american lit. right down the hall and i saw amanda rush past the door. i was thinking what could make amanda move so fast? amanda seems like the kind of person who doesn’t really care and just chills (it still amazes me how someone can get awesome grades without studying . maybe her old school/life had something to do with it) anyway, i talked to some people and found out about the note. maybe someone picked it up. i still don’t know how a note just disappears. later, i could have sworn i heard amanda talking to mrs watson about something. it could have just been her asking what she missed,or something more complicated. maybe they knew each other before amanda moved here. is mrs watson kind of a new teacher? did she move here from anywhere? where did she live before? maybe someone could figure that out. i’ll post a comment if i find anything else out.

I remember that. [I hate that class!] She really did turn white! I mean WHITE! Whiter that milk! She FLEW out of that room, and Watson did’t say anything! I saw the note fall on the floor, and I looked away for a split second and it was gone! What that note said must have been really terrible for it to scare Amanda. I felt bad, seeing her so terrified! Maybe the note said that someone found out she was lying about her name/past…

                                                              • rain988cloud

I am not sure about where the note went, but, personally, I am just as curious as to where she got the note.  Was she carrying it with her into class?  Was it passed to her during trig?  I think Ms. Watson just assumed she was very sick…no one could say she looked otherwise as she ran out of the room.

                                                                • CactusDove

Man, do I remember that day… I came to school late, trying to play hooky, but eventually my mom made me. I think it was just about the middle of 3rd period when I came in. The weird thing is, I didn’t open the doors that day; Amanda did for me. Just as I was going to, she came bustling out, books still in hand! She wasn’t even wearing her jacket, man! Anyway. Me and Amanda were sort of close, the ‘hey, how you doing?’ girly ‘oh, you can confide in me’ thing. So I got in her face, demanding she tell me what was going on, but she wouldn’t. She didn’t even look me in the eye until I smacked her arm, playfully, but a bit hard. I guess she was zoning a bit, because she punched me in the nose, then kicked my legs out from under me! She then realized who I was and apologized and everything. I was lying on my back, & I grabbed her shirt, forcing her down to my level and begged her to tell me what was going on. I was worried about her! When she came out she had been mumbling to herself like a mad(wo)man! All she did was tell me “It’s better off this way.” Then she ran to her car and sped off. When I finally managed to get inside, I checked to see if she had signed out.
                                                                  She hadn’t.
Whatever was going on, she didn’t want anyone to know…

                                                                  • kitkat1112

                                                                    • RRRules

Watson was on her tangents again, and I managed to dart outside after Amanda. I see her pretty often, but she was already gone by the time I was outside.

                                                                      • PenPaper+Ink

But you guess should deff. ask around. Come to think of it, the week before he disappeared here he had gotten a letter like that. She threw it towards the garbage on her way out of the room, but it disappeard before it got there. Everyone else was watching her as she flew out of the room. It was the day after she slipped up the second time while she was here.

I’m walking past Mrs. Watson’s class, and Amanda comes sprinting out of the room, almost as if she was running from something. She had what looked like a bunch of shreaded pieces of paper in her hand. (Maybe what people saw fall was a piece of the note). I was so stunned that I froze, and when I turned to follow her she was gone!

                                                                            • trumpetgirl

(my bad). And Amanda had this look on her face of true terror, she looked horrified. It was super creepy.
