Hey guys! I’m posting for Avery J

First of all, Jordan Vaughn, I mean “Trig is the Devil’s Instrument,” thanks very much for managing to forget my entire existence even though we’ve gone to school together since fourth grade. That’s really so, so sweet and I can’t possibly understand why people think you’re such a horrible… I mean, terrific person! I was sitting next to Amanda that day in Trig (and had been every day for the past three months). I don’t sit there anymore because I needed to move closer to the chalkboard.
When Amanda ran out of the room the note landed smack on the floor in front of my desk. I instinctively kicked it under my backpack to sneak into my pocket when Ms. Watson started class again (I sit right next to that cabinet by the door which is probably why you guys thought you saw it skid out that way). When I returned it to her a couple of days later (I think she must have gone home that day after reading the note) I told her I hadn’t opened it. She seemed relieved. To be honest, though, she shouldn’t have, because I peeked. I’d never admit that if she weren’t missing now, but maybe it will help find her.
What was written on that paper was disturbing. So disturbing, in fact, that my mom let me stay home the next day because of “traumatic stress.” (Remind me to thank Amanda WHEN she returns. And I hope the guidance counselor isn’t reading this…) It said: “I’M CLOSE. I KNOW. AND I SUGGEST YOU RUN.”
