You’re crossing your fingers that “said announcement” will be that crankity old Mrs. Lewis is retiring, but are surprised to hear the big reveal: beginning next fall, students will be required to wear mandatory uniforms.

What do you do?

You don’t mind. It might actually be refreshing to take some of the focus off who’s wearing what.
You start planning how to make your outfit an updated version of that cute preppy uniform Cher wore in Clueless. You can make even a plaid skirt and white button-down your own and totally rock it.
Wait, what was that? You had your iPod on. Oh well.
Who are they kidding? They cannot stifle your originality and stamp out individualism! You immediately start plotting your protest.
Standing out in an outfit was never quite your thing, so it isn’t a big loss.
