Who Is Stella Lennon?

Stella Lennon doesn't actually exist. Not in the way you imagine at least - one author, sitting down at a desk, typing away. We made Stella Lennon up to encompass all of us and the writers working with us. And just who exactly makes up Stella Lennon? Here is the very impressive list so far:

You see, when we started talking about publishing our story, we quickly found out we knew nothing about publishing. :) We're not the most traditional authors--we're kids who have never written a book (!) and then, on top of that, are writing books in a sequence and passing the story along, like a baton. Since we're each working with incredible professional authors to tell our stories, and we're all narrating different books, Harper suggested that we write under one name so that it doesn't get too confusing, and so that books all get put together in the store so that people can find them!


So.....we thought about Amanda and we tried to think of a name that she'd like. The last name was easy--Amanda has a thing for the Beatles, and her favorite one is, duh, John (she loved the song Imagine). So: Lennon. As for the first name, we tried anagramming all of our first names, but nothing worked. So in the end we chose Stella, for Amanda, our star, that bright shining beacon that is our guide, even while we try to be hers.

Stella Lennon. It seems perfect.
