We are scared.
We do things out of fear.
We are afraid.
We are afraid of what we do not see.
Afraid of what we do not sense.
Of what we do not know.
We do not know where evil comes from.
We do not know what we are afraid of.
We do not know it is closer than we think.
We think it is dangerous, what we do not know.
We try to get away from it.
But we cannot.
We cannot escape the haunting evil.
We try to run from it, but that is impossible.
We try to banish it from our lives, but it is always there.
It is always there, waiting.
Waiting for our minds to lapse into panic.
And it is waiting for fear.
Fear dwells in our fragile minds.
For it is born from them.
Fear is born from what our minds are capable of, what we are capable of.
What we are capable of, what we have a capacity for.
It runs deep in our veins, coexisting with its opposite.
And the fear in our minds is looking for what is already there, for the danger.
For the danger is all around us, but kept away.
But that danger is not what we are afraid of.
What we are really afraid of is the true evil.
The true evil that is within us.
